*UPDATE: In FULL TRANSPARENCY I no longer use Tula products. However, this is a popular post on my blog and I know it may be helpful to some so I am leaving it up.
The skincare products I use in my morning and nightly routine are from Herbal Face Food. I have a review of the Serums, The Cure X Soap + The Cream. Herbal Face Food is an amazing, unique product. There is no other product like Herbal Face Food on the market. They are 100% made of plants and contain no synthetic or man-made ingredients. Once I tried them I have never looked back which is why it is the only skincare product I share on my blog.
If after reading the reviews you are interested in trying Herbal Face Food you can use CODE: WholeLovelyLife to SAVE 20% off your first order! Note: This code never expires. You can use it whenever you discover this post!
As much of a product junkie as I am when I heard about Egyptian Magic I was shocked that I had never heard of it before. My Mom told me about it! So what’s a product junkie to do?
Run out and buy it right away, of course.
I purchased it from Whole Foods for $39.99. You can also order it online.
Okay, now onto the review. If you follow me on Instagram, you will see that I purchased this back in October. I wanted to use it for at least 2 months before reviewing. This is because I really feel you need to give something like a moisturizer a few weeks to fully understand how well it works.
Drum roll please…. This is probably the most effective moisturizer I have ever used! I have only used it on my face and décolleté, but this all-purpose cream can be applied anywhere. Later in this post I will share some of my favorite uses as well as other uses found on the Egyptian Magic website.
INGREDIENTS
First let’s talk about the ingredients. This product only contains six! Can you believe it? All but one of these you are probably familiar with already. Ingredients include Olive Oil, Beeswax, Honey, Bee Pollen, Royal Jell and Propolis. There are no other additives, preservatives, fragrances, chemicals or parabens.
Propolis is the ingredient I am least familiar with although I am starting to see it pop up here and there in other natural products. Propolis is a bee product, and below are some of its benefits
BENEFITS OF PROPOLIS
It is the most nutrient rich of all bee products.
It is a major source of anti-oxidants such as flavonoids and can even contain up to 50 different kinds depending on the location and plant species the bees foraged in.
It is antibacterial so helps in the healing process which also makes it appropriate for those with acne prone skin.
CONSISTENCY + PERFORMANCE
The consistency of this cream is very thick and it is a bit greasy. A little goes a long way! Ihave mainly been using this as a nighttime face moisturizer after washing my face with coconut oil. I don’t wash my face in the morning. However, if my skin is a bit greasy I can splash my face with water and pat it dry. My skin is then perfectly moisturized for makeup. I not only slather it on my face and décolleté but also carefully smooth it over my eyelids, eyelashes and tap on the under eye area.
I feel it has helped my eyelashes to grow and not fall out as frequently, something I have had issues with in the past. Besides being an amazing moisturizer I have found that my laugh, forehead and fine lines around my eyes have become less noticeable. At least for now! I have also found this cream to be an amazing cuticle and hand cream as well as suitable for the lips too. In addition, it works wonders for my toddler’s occasionally dry skin and even my Corgi’s cracked paws.
Have you tried Egyptian Magic? What do you think?
*This product was purchased on my own and with my own money.
